Itinerary

Day 01 :
Bangkok

Bags down in this Asian metropolis, where you’ll have the chance to meet your group and your Adventure Leader.

After your arrival, get ready for dinner with a tuk-tuk tour! Hop on board and head to dinner in one of the city’s amazing rooftop restaraunts, where you can choose from lots of Thai dishes. Afterwards, your tuk-tuk will take you past Bangkok’s highlights at night.

Finish the night with views of Bangkok from one of the many rooftop bars. Your Adventure Leader will be able to give you some suggestions for where to find the best view!

Day 02 :
Bangkok

You have a leisurely morning and the option to delve into the rich history of Bangkok with an Old City temple tour. This tour will take you to iconic temples like Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and the stunning Grand Palace. Please be aware that if you decide to explore the old town, you’ll need to check out of your accommodation and arrange for the storage of your luggage in the morning.

Once you return to the hostel, take some time to freshen up before catching a bus to the train station, where you’ll embark on your journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.

Day 03 :
Chiang Mai

Upon your arrival at Chiang Mai station, you’ll receive a warm welcome from our overnight homestay! We’ll transfer to the accommodation to drop our luggage, before departing for an afternoon in the wilderness.

We’ll travel to the starting point of our jungle trek, from which we’ll hike around 4-6km. It’ll take us a couple of hours – but, of course, we’ll make a refreshing stop at a waterfall to truly make the most of our time in the jungle.

After that, it’s back to our homestay to enjoy a delightful evening meal.

Day 04 :
Chiang Mai

After checking out of our homestay, this morning we’ll be taking part in an amazing unmissable activity – a half-day at an elephant sanctuary! At this ethical sanctuary, you’ll spend time with professionals, learning about elephant behaviours and the sanctuary’s conservation efforts in Thailand. You’ll be able to watch them play in mud pits, and can even help prepare treats for them! We’ll also get a delicious vegetarian buffet lunch on site too.

Once finished here, we’ll transfer into the city itself where your luggage will be waiting for you at the hostel. In the evening, you’ll have the choice to partake in either a cooking class or attend a thrilling Muay Thai show.

Day 05 :
Chiang Mai

We’ll commence the day with a fascinating Monk chat at the first temple, and then we’ll hop on public songthaews, those iconic Thai red trucks, to visit these captivating temples.

After immersing ourselves in the spiritual beauty of Wat Doi Suthep, we’ll make our way back to the hostel. For those seeking an optional thrill, consider embarking on a journey to the stunning limestone Sticky Waterfall, which is about 1.5 hours away by songthaew, a ride well-known for its unique charm.

This evening, the party-goers among you can opt to head to Zoe In Yellow for a night on the town!

Day 06 :
Chiang Mai

Today, you have a free day, and there are several exciting options to choose from. You can:

Brace yourself for some whitewater rafting
Take on another trek across the glorious landscapes.
If you’d like to explore the old town independently, don’t hesitate to ask your leader for suggestions. For a taste of local flavour, you can visit the local market with souvenir and street food this evening, to try some of the region’s specialties.

You’ve got some free time this morning, before we transfer to the airport ahead of our flight to Luang Prabang.

After your arrival, you’ll be transferred to your new accommodation. In the evening, there’s an optional group dinner on the agenda. Following dinner, take a stroll to the Hmong Night Market. This vibrant market is a fantastic place to immerse yourself in local traditional music, crafts, and food.

This morning you have a wide range of activities to choose from:

In the early morning, you can partake in the rich local culture by joining the enchanting Takbat Lao Ceremony, where monks gather food from around the city.


If you’re in the mood for a culinary adventure, consider a cooking experience, where you will explore the local wet market, purchase fresh ingredients and enjoy a hands-on cooking session.


Another option is to give back by volunteering at Big Brother Big Mouse.


For a delightful blend of adventure and creativity, opt for a bike ride to a local village, where you’ll practice making pottery! This full-day adventure includes cycling through captivating locales, learning about pottery, and even crossing the Mekong River before lunch.


In the early afternoon, a visit to the enchanting Kuang Si Waterfalls is our next unmissable activity for the whole group.

This evening, you can opt to visit a local home for dinner and a welcome Baci. It’s only a few minutes walk from your accommodation to the house, where you’ll be welcomed by the locals with a welcome drink and a Baci ceremony – this is part of the Lao people’s culture, and following this you’ll then enjoy a delicious local dinner.

In the morning, you might opt to join your group on an optional visit to Ban Xanghai village, renowned for its whisky and rice wine production. Here, you can learn about the art of crafting these spirits spirits and savor lunch at a local restaurant.

Following your village visit, embark on a boat journey down the picturesque Mekong River to explore the renowned Pak Ou Caves.

On your return journey to the hostel, make a stop at Mount Phousi and take in a truly spectacular sunset.

Day 10 :
Vang Vieng

Today, you’ll take a bus to Vang Vieng. Along the way, there’s a stop at the Blue Lagoon, a picturesque location perfect for a refreshing swim and a break from the heat.

In the evening, you’ll check in at your new hostel and have the option to either unwind or explore the local nightlife.

Day 11 :
Vang Vieng

Today offers an array of exciting activities. You could opt for a thrilling rock-climbing experience, or take a biking tour to explore the area and then embark on a hike up to the Pha Ngern Viewpoint, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking vistas.

Alternatively, this afternoon you can choose to leisurely float down the Mekong River in a rubber tube, pausing along the way to admire the stunning scenery.

In the evening, you have free time to immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife of Vang Vieng.

Day 12 :
Hanoi

Begin your day early with a bus ride to the airport, from where you’ll catch a flight to Hanoi – the final stop on our Thailand, Laos & Vietnam group tour.

Upon arrival in Hanoi, you’ll be transferred to your new hostel via bus. In the evening, you can either explore the local streets for some delicious street food, or opt to join an optional bar crawl for a night of fun with your fellow travellers.

Day 13 :
Hanoi

Today’s itinerary includes a visit to the Hoa Lo Prison in the morning, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn about Vietnam’s history.

Following this, you’ve got the option to join your group for lunch before you head over to Hoan Kiem Lake with its central temple. You can leisurely stroll around the lake, observing the locals as they engage in games and activities on the wide streets constructed by the French in Hanoi’s historical centre. If you’re feeling hungry, Old Quarter Street offers a variety of fantastic food for you to grab!

Afterward, you’ll have a free afternoon to explore Hanoi’s narrow streets, where you can try your hand at crossing the bustling roads just like a local. If you’re in the mood for some evening entertainment, consider attending a Water Puppet Show for a unique cultural experience!

This evening, you might want to join your group for one final farewell dinner and drinks ahead of your departure tomorrow.

Day 14 :
Ha Long Bay

Your adventure takes you to Halong Bay today, an enchanting destination nestled in Vietnam’s northeastern region.

Once you reach the shores of Lan Ha, a serene boat cruise will provide the perfect start to your experience. You’ll be guided to the finest locations, inviting you to partake in a refreshing swim and the chance to get that video of you jumping in from the boat.

As the day draws to a close, the group will relish a delectable buffet dinner on the cruise.

Day 15 :
Ha Long Bay

Your day commences with an invigorating kayak tour on the mesmerizing emerald waters of Halong Bay. As you paddle, you’ll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the limestone islands.

Following this adventurous morning, you’ll join the group for a satisfying lunch. Later in the day, you’ll make your way back to Hanoi and board an overnight bus to Phong Nha.

Day 16 :
Phong Nha

Upon your arrival in Phong Nha at around 4 am, you’ll proceed to your hostel, where you can take the opportunity to catch up on some much-needed sleep.

Afterward, you’ll embark on a delightful bike ride to Bong Lai village. Here, you’ll make a pit stop at the ‘Pub With Cold Beer,’ engage in some volleyball, and savor a delicious meal.

As you head into the evening, don’t hesitate to consult your Adventure Leader for suggestions on how to make the most of Phong Nha’s nightlife.

Day 17 :
Phong Nha

Today, you have the option to immerse yourself in an exciting activity. Spend the day exploring Phong Nha’s vast cave systems, including Paradise Cave and Dark Cave.

Alternatively, you can embark on a hiking adventure along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, where you might be fortunate enough to encounter incredible wildlife like tigers, bears, and elephants.

Following dinner, it’s time to board the sleeper bus to Hoi An.

Day 18 :
Hoi An

Your arrival in Hoi An is scheduled for 4 am. Take some time to rest at your accommodation in the morning.

In the afternoon, you’ll have the option to take part in a classic Vietnamese experience – a ride in the famous coconut basket boats! Glide along the water in these unique round vessels before visiting a nearby local farm.

Later on, enjoy a guided walking tour through the charming ancient town and along the riverfront. Along the way, you’ll uncover the fascinating history of the area, once a bustling trading hub shaped by both Japanese and Vietnamese influences.

This evening, you’ve got the option of joining your group for dinner.

Day 19 :
Hoi An

Today is your free day to explore Hoi An at your own pace. Alternatively, you might opt for a visit to Ba Na Hills, a French-style village accessible by the world’s longest cable car. On this day tour, you can visit Le Jardin, the old wineries, remains of French villas and the Linh Ung Pagoda.

Alternatively, you can explore a local farm or rent a bike to discover one of Hoi An’s beautiful beaches.

In the evening, savour delightful local cuisine or immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife. You can also opt to join us for the Hoi An memories show, a real-world performance that dramatizes Hoi An’s 400-year old history through state-of-the-art lights and audio.

Day 20 :
Ho Chi Minh

This morning, kick off your day with a hands-on cultural workshop – traditional lantern making! Get creative, learn a local craft, and walk away with your very own handmade souvenir to remember the experience.

Later, you’ll proceed to the airport to catch a flight to our final destination in Vietnam. Relish a dinner in the vibrant city and soak in the nighttime cityscape from a rooftop bar, before opting to join your group and embarking on an exciting bar crawl.

Day 21 :
Ho Chi Minh

Commence your day with a guided tour of Ho Chi Minh City, exploring some of the city’s renowned landmarks. You can join your group for a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, before the rest of the day is yours.

In the afternoon, you have the choice to visit the War Remnants Museum, an institution that offers vital insights into the history of the Vietnam War.

Come evening, relish your time at a bustling night market to grab the absolute best in local delicacies.

Day 22 :
Ho Chi Minh

This morning, you can join your group on an exploration of the Cu Chi tunnels, an intricate network of connecting tunnels employed during the civil war.

In the afternoon, you might want to immerse yourself in a captivating coffee workshop, where you’ll learn to make – and taste – some famous Vietnamese coffee in a local shop.

If you’re a keen singer, you might want to join your group for a last night in Ho Chi Minh in style – at a karaoke bar!

Day 23 :
Phnom Penh

Today, cross the border into Cambodia as you journey towards the capital, Phnom Penh. You will meet up with your Cambodian Adventure Leader.

After checking in at the hostel, set out on a city walk to explore the sights. In the evening, you can opt to join your group for a delightful dinner and drinks at Bassac Lane, soaking in the local atmosphere.

Day 24 :
Phnom Penh

This morning, you’ll get a proper introduction to Cambodia from your Adventure Leader, before you head off for a poignant tour of the S21 Prison and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, delving into the harrowing history of Cambodia.

In the late afternoon, you can opt to join your group for a serene sunset cruise, or explore the vibrant Phnom Penh night market to sample the regional delicacies!

Set off for Sihanoukville, where you’ll catch a ferry to the idyllic island of Koh Rong Sanloem – a peaceful haven known for its powdery beaches, clear turquoise waters, and laid-back atmosphere. Spend a relaxed afternoon lounging by the shore or head out on an adventurous kayaking trip.

October – May: As evening falls, we’ll gather at a stunning cliffside bar to sip cocktails while soaking in a spectacular sunset.

June – September: Embrace the tropical rains with a walk through natural rock pools, all while enjoying the beauty of a sunset.

Later that night, head down to the beach and wade into the water to experience the magical glow of bioluminescent plankton.

Commence your day with a delectable buffet breakfast, setting the perfect tone for an island day adventure.

Your journey will include a visit to a traditional fishing village, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture, followed by some leisure time on the sun-kissed beach. Explore the wonders beneath the sea by snorkelling in the vibrant coral reef at a nearby island, enjoying paradise.

This evening, you’ll get cleaned up and grab some dinner, before you head to the beach with your camping gear, ready for an amazing night under the stars.

Dive into adventure with a scuba diving experience, guided by certified SSI instructors and a divemaster along the shore.

Enjoy a leisurely kayaking tour for a more relaxed start.

Prefer to take it easy? You can simply unwind under the sun and work on your tan.

Savour a delicious beachside BBQ for lunch, then choose from the following activities:

Take part in a beach clean-up alongside local islanders, helping to remove plastic and other waste from the shoreline.

Missed kayaking in the morning? Now’s your chance to paddle out to a neighbouring island.

Later, head back to the mainland to catch your sleeper bus to Siem Reap.

Day 28 :
Siem Reap

You’ll reach your lodging bright and early, and will check in to your accommodation for a few hours’ rest.

In the late morning, it’s back into the city for a walking tour, where you’ll explore the riverside, the Royal Gardens, the Made in Cambodia market, and receive a blessing for safe travels at Wat Prum Rat Temple.

In the afternoon, you can opt to indulge yourself with a spa session at a nearby facility. Then, in the evening, you can opt to join your group with a trip to the Phare Circus – this incredible social organisation provides free education and arts training to over 1200 children every year. Their acrobatics show features a Cambodian storyline and supports the development of the arts.

Day 29 :
Siem Reap

Begin your day at the break of dawn as you venture to the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Angkor Wat – the largest religious monument globally! Dedicate a few hours to explore the temples of Angkor, including Ta Prohm, which gained notoriety for its role in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

In the afternoon, you can opt for the Apopo Hero Rats Tour via tuk-tuk, where you’ll learn more about how rats are being used as one of the most effective demining toools in Cambodia.

Come evening, you have the choice to partake in a 1.5-hour tour on a pedal-pub car – including a drink! – followed by the opportunity to sample local Cambodian delicacies.

Day 30 :
Siem Reap

Embark on a half-day cycling tour that guides you through lotus fields and a typical Cambodian village. You’ll make various stops, offering you a genuine glimpse into local village life. Visit a duck farm, learn about rice cultivation, and savour local palm wine.

In the afternoon, you might opt to head to Cambodia wake park, for an afternoon of watersports – they’ve got options for inflatable courses, wakeboarding, and an inland beach!

In the evening, relish a farewell dinner with your group, where you can  reminisce about the best bits of your tour.

Day 31 :

Our calendar allows you to select your preferred departure date and reserve your spot with a £60pp deposit, our team will verify availability with our tour partners and transport providers. We will contact you within 24–48 hours to confirm your date and finalize your reservation.

Is my booking confirmed immediately?

Not quite. When you choose a date on our calendar, you are placing a booking request. Because our trips involve boutique homestays and sleeper trains, we manually check availability for your specific date before confirming. You’ll receive a confirmation email we confirm your dates or we will suggest alternative dates.

Where does the trip start and finish?
This trip starts in Bangkok and finishes in Siem Reap. Throughout, all local travel is included, including flights between Thailand and Laos, and Laos and Vietnam (excluding airport transfers).
